I am a percussionist, composer, and handpan artist.
My first F# Low Pygmy 25 Handpan from Satya Sound Sculpture, has become my heart instrument.
Music has always been my way of breathing with the world.
The handpan speaks in tones of love and presence,
inviting you to listen, to pause, and to return home to yourself.
I share music for peace, love and harmonie in a restless world.

The Vineyard of Bordocheo is our second home once a year, when my wife and I host several weeks of Hauzfrau Dress Courses.
Living here in the spring, when summer just arrives, is transformative. The vines and the olives are about to be pollinated, and the harvest of the year relies on good weather conditions.
Life in Tuscany is very present con amore, and every cell in our bodies absorbs this beautiful energy.

The tuscany simplicity, precious nature, food and lovely people, carry Life con Amore, and so do we, as we gather here with friends.
Friends from Denmark and friends from Lucca, whom we have connected with years after years, visiting their family business´s enjoying their hospitality and excellent service.
Our gratefulness is heartfelt and precious, and a priviligde we let us inspire from, when we do things like this recording of my music at the right time in the right place.

My studio is my sanctuary, where ideas transforms into real sound and new projects.
Spending time here is like the early hours of every morning, when night turns into first light, and the dreams are displayed within where everything is possible, and the quantum field reveals connections to be investigated.

I mix handplayed organic music with beats and soundscapes that nourish the alchemy of overtones and rhythms of the handpan.

Maale Beach Recording
"Dawn Alchemy" is the sound of the First Light, when the sun rises in the horizon over Storebælt ocean, next to our home.
This song came to me as I was watching night turning into day, and my hands extracted the notes from the handpan.
Here I am looping the vibe in the same setting, accompanied by the blue orange waves of the ocean and the sunbeams colouring the sky and slowly reaching the shore.

"Loops Of Hope" solo recording at Maale Beach by Kerteminde, our precious home in the heart of Denmark.
Since we moved here, the silence and the beauty of the nature, has evoked childhood memories of freedom and detoxed every cell in our bodies, from a lifetime of urban living.
Day by day the filters bluring inner connection dissolves and let energies flow more and more agile. This is only one of many peaceful moments by the seaside to come.

Sonout Alchemy is a co creation of my dear friend Anders Senderovitz and I - after 20 years apart.
The summer 2025 brought us together and within in a month we received an invitation to DRIVKRAFT`25 festival.

A Journey with Music
My name is Per Cussion, and rhythm has always been my companion. From the echo of drums in great halls to the pulse of footsteps on city streets, I have followed sound wherever it wished to lead me. I have played in orchestras and bands, shaped theater moments, and built rhythm from everyday objects. Always seeking that place where music and people meet, where resonance becomes connection.
When I met the handpan, it felt like a homecoming. Its voice was both earthy and celestial, carrying tones that seemed to breathe with the heart itself.
My instrument in F# – the heart frequency – invites stillness, presence, and a gentle remembrance of what it means to simply be.
My Contribution
I bow in gratitude to the worldwide family of handpan players and makers who keep this art alive. Together we carry music as medicine – an offering of peace, love, and harmony in a restless world.
Here I share my solo recordings: handmade soundscapes drifting between improvisation and meditative calm. Music not only to hear, but to breathe with. Music that welcomes you inward, and gently brings you back renewed.
I am also co-creator of Sonout Alchemy, where handpans, gongs, and drums weave into ceremonial concerts. Yet here, on per-cussion.dk, you will find my most personal voice – my heart, speaking in tones of steel and silence.
Music has been my profession since I joined Carl Nielsen Music Conservatorium at the age of 21 years. I aim to perform at festivals, conventions, retreats, concerts and chillout venues, creating memorable sonic moments while generating sustainable income and cultivating resonant, resourceful relationships with people and projects that honour and amplify my contribution.
